How difficult it seems to get some blogging in!!!

It has been some time since I have posted and I know that I had left with a hint of our new little one in that carrier and then never updated! Yikes!  I truly must update more often.

Well.... our new little one in our family is Miss Gertrude (Gertie) Blossom Carrot Doe B.  She is a lovely little netherland dwarf rabbit who has fit right in to our family.  Our girls absolutely adore her and she seems happy and has adjusted really well.  We drove about an hour and a half from our home to bring her here!  She was born in a Rabbitry.  A breeder of Netherland dwarf rabbits.  It was an exciting process, waiting for our little Gertie!  Now she is home, and comfy in her indoor hutch.  And she uses her litter box!!! She comes out and hops around and is so fast now!  Winnie is still curious with Gertie but doing well.  Lady has surprised me most of all!  She spends her nights lying in front of Gertie's hutch and she shows great interest in her.  She is calm and sweet with Gertie and they seem to be fast friends!  Lady, my darling, is getting quite slow now and our time together is treasured.

Our girls are growing so quickly!  Hannah loves to talk and sing now!  She is getting so tall (she reminds me often!).  Summer is upon us and soccer has begun!  Mara-Grace is having a ball and is a pro now as it is her 2nd year!  As for Hannah, this is her first year and she is doing quite well.  She loves to go to soccer and is starting to understand the idea of chasing after the ball!  Victoria is the assistant on Hannah's team.  Thursday evenings are precious!  Also, speaking of activities, Hannah has just finished her Library time until the Fall.  AND---Mara-Grace has mastered riding her bike sans-training-wheels!  AND  Hannah has just learned to ride the bike with the training wheels!

Kevin took Mara-Grace for her first camping trip just with Daddy and Poppy (my dad).  Victoria used to go with them when she was younger (but now has passed the torch to Mara!:)  They had a fantastic night away!

Mara-Grace finishes Kindergarten tomorrow.  This year has flown by so quickly.  She loves school and her teacher Madame Joelle so much.  We all do.  What a gifted teacher she is!  We will miss her so much next year in Grade 1.  I pray Mara-Grace has a teacher who understands her so well next year.   It has been incredible to witness how far she has come this year.

As for our Victoria, well she finished her final high school exam yesterday (Chemistry) and is now finished.  Tomorrow is her Graduation ceremony (diploma) and then Tuesday is her prom.  Her limo actually fits 20 graduates, and they will all (along with their families) be coming to our home before their prom for pictures.  I am praying for sunshine!  I truly cannot believe that Victoria is finishing high school and college bound next year.  She has changed her career path.  She was accepted into the science program, but has changed her option to Social Science.  She wants to pursue a career in acting, but will study either teaching or law.  We are so proud of her!  It seems like almost yesterday that I walked my darling to Kindergarten and left her crying most mornings for the first few weeks.  I would have to walk away waving all the way until I rounded the corner and there she would be with her face pressed to the fence..... oh how the time has flown....  I pray she continues to make good choices and that she follows her dreams until they are realised.   What a special girl she is.  She has so much to offer the world.

Much love from our home to yours.  I will be posting some pictures of the excitement of the next few days!!!

PS  We have all been enjoying our new pool!  This property has finally welcomed a pool (I used to beg Mom and Dad growing up!  LOL)

  1. Great update. Naomi just finished Kindergarten too! Hard to believe first grade is around the corner. Your bunny is adorable - I'm sure my kids would love one too.

Cobgrats to Victoria - enjoy the prom!
